[...] Germany. Hauptaufgaben Fire Risk Management Surveys: Acts as authority having jurisdiction to ensure a safe environment in facilities and for operations. Independently schedules, coordinates and performs cyclic and/or special fire risk management surveys of buildings, structures, troop billets, living quarters, schools, places of public assembly, maintenance shops, warehouses-hangers, ammunition storage areas and other hazardous areas and community facilities, based on legal requirements and inspection frequencies determined by the Fire Chief. Usually a geographic AOR or certain units are assigned to each inspector, where the inspector serves as primary interface in all matters of fire prevention and protection for assigned tenants. Identifies violations of legal requirements, fire regulations, fire prevention measures, and for conditions contributing to fire hazards in order to institute corrective measures caused by operations or facility modifications as well as changes in occupancy.
