Hauptaufgaben Incumbent serves as a senior Transportation Assistant on one of the Teams of the EURO Theater Consolidated Personal Property Shipping Office. Each team is responsible for providing their assigned customers a full range of traffic management services for international shipments of Do D Personal Property, by all modes and codes, on a worldwide basis in both peacetime and wartime. Teams are assigned a specific customer areas and specific general instructions for deliverables. Overall guidance is provided to properly perform overall functions and the incumbent works independently [. .. ] with IPRs and local negotiated contracts. Must be familiar with import, export and border crossing requirements at a multitude of worldwide locations. May be required to obtain and maintain Contracting Officer Representative (COR) status. All requirements received off-line are put into the system for further processing. Team members analyze movement options: select carriers, routings and modes; and via various systems issue required clearance and release documentation. The team leader is also responsible for monitoring and managing requirements processed in the [. .. ] bookings that are made with other than the low cost carrier in order to meet delivery requirements and or other requirements of the customer when authorized. Assists the Chief, Quality Control Section by scheduling quality control inspections and acting as a liaison between property owners and carriers in the resolution of problems incurred during packing/ shipment. Coordinates with local agents and carrier representatives to ensure departure of shipments in time to meet required delivery dates at destination. Maintains workload data and [. .. ]
