Hauptaufgaben Incumbent serves as a senior Transportation Assistant on one of the Teams of the EURO Theater Consolidated Personal Property Shipping Office. Each team is responsible for providing their assigned customers a full range of traffic management services for international shipments of Do D Personal Property, by all modes and codes, on a worldwide basis in both peacetime and wartime. Teams are assigned a specific customer areas and specific general instructions for deliverables. Overall guidance is provided to properly perform overall functions and the incumbent works independently [. .. ] bookings that are made with other than the low cost carrier in order to meet delivery requirements and or other requirements of the customer when authorized. Assists the Chief, Quality Control Section by scheduling quality control inspections and acting as a liaison between property owners and carriers in the resolution of problems incurred during packing/ shipment. Coordinates with local agents and carrier representatives to ensure departure of shipments in time to meet required delivery dates at destination. Monitors and manages key indicators of performance to ensure that work meets contractual requirements, regulatory requirements and command objectives. Keeps supervisor apprised of adverse trends, and recommends actions to improve performance.
