The Water Waste Branch is responsible for the maintenance, repair and operation of the water supply systems at Grafenwoehr, the Ranges, Site 17, Hill 459 and for the maintenance and repair of the washracks at Grafenwoehr. Performs repair and [. .. ] filters, controls, and washrack equipment, i. e. , hydraulic nozzle system, high pressure water guns, expansion tanks high pressure pumps, sludge pumps, oil skimmer, algea dozing system. Replaces pump and motor bearing, coupling, packing; repairs valves and filters. Checks, adjusts, and repairs chlorination and fluoridation injecting systems including repair of injection pump, injection nozzles and injection mechanism. Adjusts chlorine and fluorine additions to meet required standards. Performs operational tests, reads meters, and takes and analyzes water samples to determine free chlorine [. .. ] German Self Quality Control regulation on drinking water (Eigenueberwachungsverordnung EUV) about inspections, test results, operational tests, water consumption and documents major events, which negatively influence the water supply. Drives a vehicle with a loading capacity of up to 3 1/ 2 tons, requiring a Class III drivers license and the corresponding military operators permit to and from prescribed destinations.
