[...] testing, provision, inventory control, performance monitoring and maintenance of safeguards equipment and supplies required by SGO Divisions; management of equipment development and engineering activities to meet quality and safeguards requirements; development and provision of documentation, procedures, instrumentation methods and techniques; and provision of specialized technical and scientific support to inspectors and inspection activities in the field and at headquarters; and pollution monitoring of returned equipment and timely writeoff of obsolete or contaminated equipment. The Division also coordinates [. .. ] Department, including assistance in the compilation of needs, providing infield support during inspections and instrumentation training as required. Subject to approval of the Board of Governors, function as a safeguards inspector. Safety Note The incumbent may perform work in areas involving exposure to radioactive materials. As an Occupationally Exposed Worker, they must be medically cleared by VIC Medical Service and are subject to an appropriate radiation and health monitoring programme in accordance with the IAEAs Radiation Safety Regulations.
