The purpose of this position is to provide legal advice and support on lending (sovereign, bank, corporate) , guarantee transactions, grants and postsignature work, relating to EIB projects. Responsibilities span standard loan agreements to new products and complex structured finance. Accountabilities Manage contacts and negotiations concerning EIB operations handled by the Division, working [. .. ] when applicable. Participate in horizontal activities relevant to the Division. Liaise with external consultants and supervise their work. Conduct legal research and stay up to date with legislation, regulations, and jurisprudence. Maintain internal and external relationships and represent the EIB externally. Qualifications University degree in law (Bachelor or Master) , preferably from a civillaw country (a Spanish law degree is an advantage) . Legal qualification, ideally in a civillaw jurisdiction. Minimum five years of professional experience in lending and finance, preferably with an international law firm or inhouse department of a financial institution.
