AFAMS is the premier agency responsible for implementation, integration, and development of Modeling and Simulation (M S) standards that support the US Air Force, Department of [. .. ] and mission partners facilitating all-domain Warfighter training across the full spectrum of conflict. This role of this position is to support the UAWCs physical exercise networks including, Non-Secure Internet Protocol Network (NIPRNET) , Secure Internet Protocol Network (SIPRNET) , Coalition and Exercise Networks, Commercial Internet, and Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems. The Network Engineer Principal will: Design, plan, build, deploy, configure, test, monitor, and maintain the UAWCs network systems and its related hardware, software, licenses, and certification. Implement network upgrades, system software patching, and security compliance in accordance with Maintenance Task Orders, Information Assurance Vulnerability Management, Air Force Instructions, and UAWC policies. Coordinate with UAWC IT Technical Planners to plan and complete event and exercise-related networking tasks and requests. Research, analyze, recommend, and document possible resolutions or actions to resolve network issues or improve network performance.
